A Diabetes Test Meter is a medical device used to determine the approximate blood glucose concentration. It can also be a glucose paper strip dipped into a substance and measured to the graph of glucose. It is the main component in the surveillance of home blood glucose (HBGM) by individuals with diabetes mellitus or hypoglycemia. A tiny drop of blood is put on a disposable test strip that the meter reads and utilizes to calculate the blood glucose level, acquired by pricking the skin with a lancet. The meter shows the amount in mg/dl or mmol / l units.
